The Watermelon Thump hosts a Carnival with kiddie rides, Beer Garden, Full Rodeo, 15-20 Food Booths, Watermelon Carving Contest, Children's Entertainment. Dances, shaded Arts & Crafts/Exhibitor's Market, Champion Melon Judging and Auction, Gospel Jubilee, a special salute to Veterans, World Champion Seed Spitting Contests with ca$h prizes, a GIANT Parade (with Luling native TAMRON HALL of NBC's Today Show as this year's Grand Marshall), Melon Eating Contests with ca$h prizes, large Classic Car Show and much more! Other non-Thump sponsored events during the weekend include a Golf Tournament and 5K Run!
This year 30 of the 35 hours of the festival feature grounds admission of $5.00 or FREE!
