Ags, I just found out that The Citadel game will be show on PPV at R.A.'s. They are buying a closed circuit broadcast for Ags because I promised them at least 10 Aggies would come watch, eat, and drink.

Just an FYI, don't be packin' heat or packin' a blade because there are metal detectors at the entrance.

They are going to show the closed circuit telecast that you get while sitting in the Zone Club @ Kyle or while in line at the concession stands @ Kyle.

Seems interesting enough and similar to something I saw a couple of weeks ago.

I was in Chicago two weeks ago and walked into the ESPNZone for dinner and sat in those cushy recliners in front of a wall of tv screens.

One of the games they were showing was a preseason Texas and Chiefs game. The odd thing about it was that it looked like a tv feed similar to what you are talking about.

Minimal graphics, except for a camera on the clock and real old school scoring graphics like you'd see in a concession line.

I'd love to know more about this..

Why???

A) the people running sports bars are stupid when it comes to PPV games. They automatically say 'yes' if you ask them if they'll have a game.

B) the game is not PPV so there's not an option for sports bars to buy it

C) 'back haul feeds' only occur for PPV games or games that are shown on the web. <---- I'm 99% certain of that.

I'm 99% sure you can't get the feed off of the closed circuit telecast because it's not being broadcast anywhere. They upload the highlights to the national networks after the game.

A sports bar in Memphis was saying the same thing. Last night they changed their story and said they wouldn't have it.

If it we show up and it is a no-go I would have to fight a bunch of guys in the parking lot and that would not be good. Please advise ASAP.

But, I just called RA's and the guy that answered the phone did not know anything about it, he was not too sharp so I am not concerned.

Does anyone know if they will reserve tables there? I have a big group coming in from out of town to hunt doves and I know they will want to watch the game.
