it's valley football....whoever wins will get wiped out in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs anyhow. who really cares?

any time they see a team from north of the corpus christi / laredo line valley teams crumble. i blame that on coaching as valley schools trade the same coaches back forth for decades till those clowns retire. they run the same offense and same defense teams north of the above line were running in peewee football. it's not really a talent gap as much as it is a knowledge gap.

valley coaches overall are limited in their knowledge based on their unwillingness to pick up new systems or complete systems that have revolutionized the game in the past 50 years. some valley teams are still running the wing t and the veer while other teams across the state are running wide open schemes or pro style schemes.

it's sad to admit it, but no valley team will ever win state until valleyites decide to wise up and quit recycling the same old tired scheme-deficient coaches.

I fell the same way George. I go to all of Edinburg North's home games, and all I see is running up the middle and the quarterback getting sack. They need A&M play playbook. Run options spread the ball out, I good D. We got the talent but not the coaching. And for your F.Y.I I havent see them win a single game.
