i'm sorry...there should be certain places where people CAN smoke.....bars should be one of these places....not familiar with the ban in McAllen....but in Corpus, they were getting pretty stupid....

smokers should stay outside of any building to include bars. smokers are the minority and should abide by society's rules of not smoking or pay the penalty of having to go outside. smokers annoy the hell out of me what with all the smoke breaks at work and wanting special treatment wherever they go....

way i see it, if you smoke you should be prepared to be ostracized. it's a choice you make. why should i be forced to inhale your smoke because i like to frequent a particular place. f-you. if you smoke, deal with the stigma and get your happy ass outside with the rest of the smokies. it's raining you say? so what? go outside and smoke. or quit smoking. or quit your whining.

I know that to some Bar=smoking, but to me..bar=alcohol. If u must smoke, go outside or they should have a smoking section outside or something. I dont want to be exposed to your deadly fumes. That's ur choice to smoke, but do not infringe on my choice not to.

I don't like smoking. I don't want it in my home or in my car. I don't like smelling it in the places where I go to eat.

However, I like to make my own choices. I don't like for a group of city commissioners, who may not be looking out after the best interests of the townspeople, making these kinds of decisions.

If there was this huge groundswell of people that are extremely opposed to smoking, why did those places stay in business. There would have been all kinds of smoke-free eating establishments springing up.

I suppose that it will make us all live longer. Our state legislature was sure serious about the health problem. The took the billions from the tobacco companies earmarked for cancer health care and spent it on ...? (Not healthcare)
