I'm going to try and keep this short....
After graduating from A&M, I went to work for a large insurance company and worked there for over 17 yrs. The company went through a lot of changes internally and the work environment became toxic. I no longer enjoyed my work and it got to the point of becoming unbearable. I had to leave. I went to work for a local roofing company as a project manager. The roofing company is a great company with fantastic leadership, but the industry is absolutely feast or famine. With the local competition, it has become harder and harder to land new jobs. It is much, much easier in a post-storm (hail) environment and our area hasn't seen a good hail storm in quite some time. I have always viewed this job as a gap filler. I'm hoping to begin a new career soon.
I have a wife and 4 kids and one of my sons (age 5) is on the autism spectrum. We have a lot of medical bills due to his weekly therapy. I hate to admit it, be we are really struggling to keep up.
If anyone knows of employment opportunities in or around the Tyler area, please let me know. You could shoot me a PM. I am currently on 100% commission with no benefits. I really need to get back to a guaranteed paycheck with a salary. Benefits would certainly be a bonus.
I would love to work with other Aggies, but if you know of any good opportunities with a solid company, I sure would appreciate you letting me know. It is humbling to post something like this as a 43 yr old man with a degree from A&M. At the end of the day, I just want to be able to provide for my family without the constant stress of struggling financially.
Thanks guys....
