Howdy Ags!

Wife and I and potentially In-laws are looking to move to Tyler. Currently live in Fort Worth and our getting tired of the hustle of the big city. Even the "small towns" outside DFW are disappearing. Tyler seems like a great option since we can commute back to the DFW conveniently. Anyways, we would like to build a house potentially on 10 acres. Wanted to get ideas on what places to see, neighborhoods to check out, local hot spots etc. thanks in advance!

And if you're looking for an easier commute back to DFW and you want property - stay close to loop 49 or I20, because the hardest part about getting to DFW is getting out of Tyler.

I left Smith County for A&M and the Army in '93 and have never made it closer than living 3 hours away.

East Texas will always be home in my heart. Will move back someday

The Area around the east bank of lake Palestine is a great place to live. Easy access to Loop 49 and most of the good stuff in Tyler is on the south/southwest side of town.

Country Tavern has great ribs. It is between Tyler and Kilgore, closer to Kilgore.

Hide a away lake is a good place to look
Guarded golf community
Couple small lakes
Good schools for your kids
A lot of dfw commuters

But, one thing is clear: there can be little debate that, among other things, the President's pressure exerted on Vice President Pence to violate his oath, and the false hope it sent to emotionally charged supporters, was wrong, troubling, and impeachable.
Liz should be commended, not condemned, for standing up in defense of the Constitution and standing true to herself
