Attending a funeral and not familiar with the roadways. What's the best route?

That's one of those "You can't get there from here." You can go 7 different ways and none of them are convenient.

I'd go up 271 through Gladewater into Gilmer, take a right on 155 to 259. Then take 259 up to Omaha.

That'd be about as easy a route as you'd want. You could go through Big Sandy, but by going through Gladewater, you have a little bit better road, and you avoid that little slow dance through the turns you have to do through Big Sandy. Going 271 only adds about 5 minutes - maybe.


ETA - not trying to contradict you Rush. You were posting while I was typing.

Anyway there is fine, they are decent roads you won't have to worry about conditions.
