I will be driving from Houston to Woodville via Livingston for a funeral on Tuesday, then down to Village Mills after. Any road conditions, speed traps, etc I need to know about?

Not really. 190 from Livingston to Woodville is relatively cop free. I'd take it easy on 59, though, just to be on the safe side.
