Grew up just outside of Carthage, in DeBerry. I spent a lot of time in Carthage, but went to school in Elysian Fields.
I live in Nacogdoches now, but most of my fathers family still lives in Carthage/DeBerry. My uncle is a Vet in Carthage, also an Aggie.

I heard the Texas Drum Major is a girl from Carthage. I was also mildly shocked that she was only the 3rd female drum major in the history of the longhorn band. Anyone know her?

TXSongBird - You can go get a cold beer at the Carthage Country Club. However, depending on the type of law you practice you could either pick up or lose clients if you are seen there. I play golf with my dad and drink a few when I am in Carthage.
Lloyd Thompson sounds familiar. I remember working with a Lloyd at Brookshires in Carthage back in 95/96. If I remember right he was a pretty good linebacker for the dawgs back then. Is that the same guy? If so, I haven't seen or heard from him since I left Carthage for A&M. I was at PJC at the time.
I played football with Lloyd. Agoholic is right...he was a really good linebacker for Carthage. I have not heard anything about him since high school though and wondered what he has been up too.
I played football with him at Navarro College in 98 and 99. I havent seen him since we left and was wondering what had happened to him. If anybody knows or can find out, please post what you find.
