Will be down in Galveston next month for a bachelor party and was wondering if yall had any recommendations for some restaurants and bars for us to go to. Will be fishing during the day and looking for some ideas. Thanks

As far as bars go... what kind of bars are you looking for? There are some good pubs and a few clubs. I can't really speak to the quality of the clubs. I think every club I've ever been to sucked.

for bars, we usually go to molly's or o'malley's.

haven't been to a club in galveston in probably 6 years. h2o (at the san luis) and drip (near the spot) are the only two i even know about, but i'll ask around and get some thoughts.

Hit the Strand. There are several bars within a couple of blocks. Yagas will have live music and the best crowd. Tsunami is just a bar but can have some nice looking patrons. The Lounge is a multi level club. Good place to get your groove on. The Waterspout just opened so I can't say much about it.

You might want to start your evening at the Spot or Drip. They are on the seawall. The Spot looks like a biker bar, but the crowd is like "Wild Hogs" so don't worry. The Drip is connected to the Spot. It has more of a club feel. You will love the girls uniforms.

If just returning from fishing might Try Woody's--just a little west of the end of the seawall.
