I am moving to Galveston next month and am trying to set up my TV and internet. ATT U-Verse isn't available there so I need some other options. What is good in the area?

I have always had Comcast--it works.
Don't think it is cheap.

You're only cable option is Comcast. If I were going to be here longer than a year I'd get a satellite (requires a two year contract) and use AT&T for internet.

I'm not a fan of Comcast at all, especially since I had u-verse right before I moved here. Comcast is just nowhere near as user friendly. If there were another option, I'd try it. That's all.

I have comcast for both. Never had any problems.

haha, funny this thread came back up. I was in the ATT store this week... U-verse will be in about 1500 homes in 7-8 months according to the fella at the store.

I spent three hours on the phone/online with comcast trying to explain to them that we didn't cancel our old account and start a new one. We just moved, as in changed addresses in town, and they couldn't figure it out. If I could have strangled people through the phone I would have.

edit; I called to inform them that I was moving and gave them the dates to transfer the service... they then screwed up the billing info.
