Are there any good going out spots in Corpus for single people? There doesn't seem to be very many places for the 25-35 business professional crowd. Am I missing something?

As far as I know you are out of luck. However, if you will be in town next week, Aggie night with the Hooks (minor league base ball team) is Thursday.

Also there is usually a monthly happy hour that has quite a few singles (and married people) in your age range. They might be able to help you find some places to go.

Go to saltyaggies.com and look up Tiffany Tamez on the board of directors for the Hooks game or one of the three guys listed on the happy hour page for those events.

Exec Surf Club and anything in that general vicinity is about as good as it gets. Been many years since I partied down there and the cops did a good job of running everyone off.

Is Corpus really all that bad? I always thought it seemed like kind of a cool town. Granted, maybe not for a 22 year old recent grad, but for a grown up who likes saltwater fishing, the beach, warm weather ... What's not to like?

There is plenty of fishing, beach and warm weather. There just doesn't seem to be an abundance of attractive, single 25-35 year old women. My main OP was wondering where I could go to find the few that are here.

Fun place to live, but the talent level is lacking to say the least. Occasionally you can find a diamond in the rough.

If it is still like it was when I lived there you would see them all day long and as soon as the sun went down "poof" they were all gone...

Beeville is a lot worse. But San Diego is worse than Beeville and Taft is worse even than Robstown.

I was there a few weeks ago for work and I couldn't help but run into talent everywhere I went.

Must have been a fluke trip or they all work at the Omni Marina.

I actually think there is pretty solid talent in Corpus. The competition doesn't seem as stiff either, which is nice. I've actually been pretty successful since moving to CC.

Havana Club is a pretty good 25-35 crowd. Mulligan's is a little bit of a younger crowd, but it's pretty cool. Aria is pretty clubby, but it has solid talent on Saturday nights. Surf Club is always a good place to hang out. Dr. Rockit's can be okay sometimes.

The island and Port A have some solid hang outs, but I don't venture out there too much because of the drive. I hear people talk about Bombay and The Reserve, but I don't really leave the downtown area much.

Taft ain't that bad, you're closer to CC than living in Beeville. Try Bishop or Alice or Kingsville or Refugio. I grew up in Portland, left after high school and never went back. Now, I have several classmates who have since moved back to Portland to raise their kids. Not a bad place to live IF your job pays well. No economy in CC. Back in the 1970's/1980's, it was good but never great. With the port and chemicals you would think you'd have a decent foundation to build something.

Check out Rockport on the weekends.

Corpus is actually a pretty regular spot for concerts of all kinds, might want to try Brewster Street Ice House or Concrete Street for some concerts, theres a few bars and clubs that might be noteworthy, I havent personally been but Ropers was a weekly routine with my friends, Rockport is not a place for nightlife unless you know someone throwing a party, if your lookin for something for the public past 7 o clock stay in corpus, closest place with anything else is san antonio. My recommendations, concerts, clubs, maybe the mall? If you want to wait Port Aransas during spring break is always good for a laugh or finding your future wife, depending on how many beads you have.

Also, loose the business causual, its flip flops and shorts year round, you'll have to stay on the board walk if you have a tie, proffesionalism isn't appreciated in Corpus nearly as much as College Station or Austin or anywhere else really. It's a laid back give me a beer lets go fishing type of town, not like the normal city I'd say

Thanks for the info! I'm still trying to adjust to the move from Dallas. I know not everyone is a fan of Dallas, but you can find hot women by accident there. Corpus has been a little tougher to find many single women that are semi-intelligent and aren't looking for a baby daddy. I know they are out there, but I haven't found them, yet.

I work in Corpus for 3-4 days every month. If you wanna meet some ladies go to Lepoard Drive right around the intersection of Omaha. Drive between the Whataburger and McDonalds and keep making that circuit back and forth until you see the one you want then tell her to Load Up. Bring $20 bills with you.

Corpus is not Dallas. I think your best bet for meeting single, college educated women >25 is finding some sort of organization to join.

Or join e-harmony and get set up with girls from San Antonio or Austin.

I live by Bombay, and it's nice to have a place near home, but not worth the drive from downtown if you're trying to find better girls. They're the same as the ones downtown. Also, TO2 is a good place on the south side for having drinks.
