How long do you want to ignore this user?
Graduated in May of this year, found a "great" job in Galveston. Thought it was too good to be true, and it turned out that's the case. The job is not what was promised and is very unreliable. Unfortunately I fell in love with the Island and would prefer to find a job where I can stay put.

I have been checking Galveston Daily News, Houston Chron, Craigslist, etc. but am having no luck. Decided to resort to Texags. If anyone in this area might have a lead or just any advice, this new grad would appreciate it!

My email is issy26 at gmail.com

Thanks!

I'm in marketing/advertising/writing currently, and would prefer to stay in a related field, but am open minded to other possibilities.

Honestly anything stable at this point is looking pretty good.

That would be great! I know Bain, the manager over at Yaga's and got to meet Mike Dean when I was a gumbo judge at Shrimp Fest. Do you know where exactly I would apply? Just at Yaga's?

I am still at my current position and don't want word to get out that I am searching for something else before I have my next job set in stone.

Re: career fair at TAMUG. It's a very niche/industry/market career fair. Not saying you can't find a career there if you don't have a maritime degree... but it won't be easy.
