i just got a job in Victoria, that i start on monday, and apparently there is not a single apt complex that has a room available for rent before the end of next month.

if anyone knows of someone looking to sublet a room in a 2 or 3 bedroom apt, please let me know. trying to avoid stying in a hotel for a month. m4bach at gmail

thanks for the leads opie. I got in touch with LuAnn, but she said that there was nothing available anywhere unless I wanted to look into renting a whole house or something like that. Left a message with Jimmy, but I'm pretty sure he'll have the same response.

FYI: The hotels in town are running at full occupancy and have a 2 week waiting list thanks to oil prices and the resulting flood of related jobs.

I'd offer my spare bedroom, but my Mother-in-Law is in town. Come to the Happy Hour at BWW tomorrow at 5:30 and ask around...

Thanks chjoak. I actually found someone who is willing to let me use their spare room until an apt opens up.

Had the same problem when I moved down here... Had to life out of a hotel for 3 weeks...
