I will be picking up a friend from the corpus airport after lunch. I want to get to corpus around lunch for some good eats. Prefer eating a t laid back place that serves cold beer. Outdoor seating and possibly close to water is preferable.

Since I have never been to corpus to eat (other than to fish), I am not too familiar with the town. I have heard of brewsters ice house. Is that good?

Actually, it will probably be too far since we will be coming from rockport. Anything closer/in between the airport and rockport would be better.
