I have a concrete bulkhead that's leaching soil in several spots. Anyone know of a good contractor that does work of this sort? Thanks in advance.

Your bulkhead is probably capped with concrete rather than being made of concrete. If the bulkhead itself is failing, there are a lot of people who can do the work, but like anything else it's a crap shoot.

Matlock Marine did some concrete work on a bulkhead for me. He did a pretty good job. Nice enough guy. Not an endoresement per se, but he can do whatever needs to be done. I highly suggest that you get multiple bids!

Probably depends where you are, there are some subdivisions where the bulkheads are cement panels with cement caps.
Other places they may be vinyl or fiberglass forms with a cement cap.

Y'all are right, it's capped with concrete but if memory serves me correct, the panels are cement. It seems like they told me that they had to be cement because my house is on open water. I could be wrong about that though.

We use Olsons as our primary piling company on the Island. A cut above the others. They do bulhead work but not sure of your specific situation. But their work is A+.

Not a fan of Olson personally. I'll just leave it at that...

I spoke with George Olsen and he didn't seem too interested in working outside of West Galveston. I'm waiting to hear back from Mabe's out of Hitchcock. If anyone knows of someone else in the area who does this type of work, I'd appreciate it.
