I may be moving to Corpus soon for work. Where should I look?

If you have a family, southside or the island. If single, downtown.

Really, downtown? even if single, I would suggest the island. Plenty of outdoors

Coastrs, there are some pretty cool lofts downtown I hear and that is where all the night life is.

Also moving to Corpus in a few weeks as we start a construction project. Would also appreciate recommendations.

I'm single, 31 year old.

Project should last approx. 12-13 months. So it's not totally permanent.

Was looking to rent something. Hopefully not in a bad part of town. Would like to find something in the middle (not tooo expensive, not a dump).

I know some people who rent townhomes off of everhart near cedar pass which is on the south side, or if you're into apartments there is a new nice one on airline and holly (not sure on price), or Bay Vista down town.
You can get into the college area with some apartments off SPID and nile/enis joslin area if thats what you're into

I'm 27, single and will be working very close to downtown for at least 2 years. Don't necessarily want to live close to where the night life is.

Bay Vista Aparments has a lot of young people that live there and work down town.

southside or pope place/lamar park if with family. island is fine also but prices are high for larger homes.

if single/temporary, island condo or newer apartment near university, although downtown living is picking up steam. If the university kids ever start living downtown in larger groups, could really turn it around.

I live in Bay Vista. It's a good place to live close to downtown. Tell them that Caz sent you so I get the referral fee.

Not saratoga cove or christiwood apartments. Though Saratoga cove wasn't that bad. I liked living on the island. I'm currently renting a house between alameda and ocean near the university. Older area but it's mostly young families/professionals with a few college students. What is your budget?

Not sure exactly what my budget will be yet. I'm in the process of applying for the promotion.

I hear that Schlitterbahn is coming to the island. Won't that make an already nightmarish traffic situation during summer weekends worse?

I think they are shooting for 2014. I had the same concern as my parents just purchased a home on the island. But they are building a bypass to JFK causeway on Aquarius that should allow residents to by pass where the park is planned

Quite a few ags live in Bay Vista. Worth checking out.

Sadly, they didn't have anything available at Bay Vista.

Lived there many moons ago straight out of college and worked downtown.

Lived in a bay front high rise on Ocean Drive. Ours had a private pier and many times we were the only people who ever fished. Loved living on the bay.

What does anyone know/what has anyone heard about Chandler's Mill, Sawgrass, and Camden Copper Ridge?

The price at Bay Vista is a little more than I'm looking to spend. I'll be working downtown and would like to pay around $700. Any suggestions?

I haven't heard this: what's the projected path of this bypass? Is it going to connect Commodores to the Snoopy's area? It's more apt to cut through to the Shell station near the bridge, but unless there's a traffic light constructed there, nothing will be gained.
