I'm a newbie here at TAMUG and I'm stumped on what to do around here. Any good suggestions on where to take a girl for little-no cost?

Try some outdoor activities. There are plenty of things to do around the island and the weather is nice now. Maybe go to the state park and walk the backside by the bay on the trails and boardwalks. Something as simple as taking a walk on the seawall is good too. Take her to eat somewhere on the seawall that is relatively cheap, then go for a walk. Burns a lot of time, and doesn't cost anything!

Take a walk along The Strand visiting the different shops.

Check the menu outside the cafeteria for chicken fried steak night, when the day comes around swipe her in bro.


Have any kayaks or know someone who does? If so go paddle around Offatts Bayou or even better if you can swing it, get hold of a sail boat go sail around in Offatts just don't go too far towards Moody Gardens or you'll hit ground. Ride bikes down the Seawall, walk down a jetty on a cold night.

Bay Area Blvd is about a 30 min drive from campus, eat at Pei Wei and go hit up the dollar theater nearby.

Once your 21 it'll be much easier, date night is Thursday. Hit up Tsunami for $1 wells then once that special is over head to Bucks for $1 Lonestar draft, y'all should be feeling pretty damn good by midnight and then you go steal her heart utilizing the karaoke room in Bucks

Mcdonalds is probably the cheapest food option. Get her a 10 piece nugget and then take a walk.

San Luis Pass with a basket lunch.
Seawall Blvd all the way east, watch the ships.
Ride the Bolivar Ferry.
Already mentioned, nature areas at state park.
Drink a beer, eat a meal at Jimmy's at 91st St fishing pier.
Lone Star flight museum.
Air Show at Ellington Field this weekend.
Fish off a rock groin.
