Bridle ridge, colony creek, vista cove is very quaint, and the ball airport area is shaping up nicely. Call Jimmy Zaplac at cold well banker for more detailed information.
My parents are in terra vista and they like it. We just moved to deer chase and love it. There are some nice older parts of town but there are some bad older parts of town. I would say a general rule of thumb is airline and north and Sam Houston east. Those are the nicer newer parts of town. Quail creek is nice too and also doesn't have city taxes.
However there are several nice neighborhoods that break that rule.

My brother listed his house in Cimarron on a Friday morning and it was under contract that same Friday at Noon. There is a major housing boom in Victoria right now thanks to the oil and gas boom. Seven is right about having your ducks in a row.

That area is fairly average. Those houses are slightly older but not really old. Not real sure about the type of people that live over there but the houses aren't too bad
Beaming with pride as I read Seven's answers. Look at you becoming a Victoria local now! I didn't know y'all moved though. That's awesome, good for y'all!
For the OP, I grew up around Quail Creek, and my parents still live there. You really can't go wrong out that way.
