we moved here for our careers about 6 years ago. someone told us " don't live anywhere except THE ISLAND." I am passing this tip along to you. We love it here. everything in this town is no more than 25 min away. The influx of oil field money is bringing lots of new business to Corpus. The Island is a whole different world from Corpus. Islanders are laid back. If you want to come check it out, the barefoot mardi gras parade is on the beach this weekend. The kids on the island go to Flour Bluff Schools. It is a great school district for academics and sports. Schlitterbahn opens up this summer on the Island. Hope to see y'all around.
