I made an offer on a waterfront camp in Port Alto and I need someone that's really good with wood/piling inspection to let me know if there are any major structural issues, I don't see any obvious issues other than minor settling but I'm not experienced with wood especially in a marine environment.

Anyone know someone you can recommend?

Try GW Engineering in Port Lavaca. You will need them to issue an elevation certificate for your flood insurance anyway. Also, you want to check for termite damage on the pilings.

Are you looking at buying in North or South Port Alto? We have bad water system issues in South Port Alto. I have a place there and my family has been going to Port Alto since the 1930s
