I moved to just outside the city limits (and cable's reach) of Bay City. Trying to find reliable high speed internet. Our typical worst-case scenario involves netflix/hulu streaming, xbox live play, desktop web browsing and a couple phones using data all at the same time. I realize that's probably unrealistic for these services to handle, but wanted to throw it out there. I think we've narrowed our options to Hughesnet, Skynet or TISD. I'd appreciate any input/reviews as well as installation cost/hassle (Skynet told us it'd basically be like $600 to install) you folks might have. Thanks in advance.

My parents live out in Sugar Valley and use Skynet. From what I've heard, it's been the best internet option they have tried thus far. Very stable and lower latency than satellite, which would be nice if you're planning on playing on xbox live. The downside is you'll most likely need either a tower for the antenna, or mount it to your roof.

If Newwave ever expands to your area then they are the best bet right now. I live in Bay City and they just started offering 50/5 packages.
