I've just accepted a job at Bloomington ISD and am looking to rent a house in the area, preferably near Port Lavaca or Seadrift. I've been checking the area, but know the power of Texags and was hoping someone may know something as I've had no luck other than in Victoria. Thanks for the help. Not sure about the houses (they're all pretty expensive down here) but if you get in a bind and it's just you the "man camp" in Bloomington is pretty cheap. Just wouldn't make it a long term thing.

I do know that several months ago there were a couple of nice town homes overlooking the bay in port lavaca that were renting for like $1200
