We're buying a house and moving there shortly. It fulfilled our requirements of living close to our new work and having a large lot for our dogs. Doesn't seem to be much else there though. I anticipate still going to Hewitt for HEB and Wal-Mart as well as Waco and elsewhere for other amenities. Anyone else live there to comment?

Robinson has evolved into a bedroom community...schools are good, Little League program is really good

about the same as Hewitt's present situation though Hewitt began as a stop on the early railroad line and was a bustling "city" back then

what area is the house located in? There are some nicer ones on Greig as well as off Moonlight Drive now.

My parents and sister still live there and I was there from 1978-2000. I went through the school system and now quite a few of the guys and gals I graduated with are teachers in Robinson.

Crime rate is pretty low. Traffic on 77 is not really a problem. Brookshire's is getting remodeled at the moment.

Anything specific you needed answered?

We're going to be living off of Moonlight Drive. Just wanted to know that there were other people living there and it would be a good place for us for the next several years.

Moonlight drive is where a couple of my teachers lived and they loved the area. Since they still live there, I will assume they still love the area.

Don't take this wrong, but why do you want people to tell you how good it is AFTER you've bought your house?

I mean, what will you do if the board is unanimous that it sucks?

We're building a new waterline on Moonlight right now. A new streets bond just got approved and the City will be starting some much needed street improvements with that funding. The new WMARRS Flat Creek interceptor is going to dramatically help with some of the City's past sewer problems. This should also provide capacity for some new commercial growth.

The schools are decent, from all that I have heard. Home prices are affordable.

I dont live in Robinson. I live down the interstate in Lorena but I teach at the high school in Robinson and LOVE it. My kids have a choice of 3 school districts and choose Robinson. The students are great, the teachers care and the administration is phenomenol. If things continue this way, I would love to retire from Robinson in 15 years. I think you made a good choice.

I agree with Schwertnerag....I teach and coach at RHS too. I've only been here a year, but I'm a fan of the community and schools so far.

Hagen, do you work for the city?

Would love to get some info on the new projects coming up. I am an engineer for a civil firm in Temple and very interested in those projects, if they are not already designed.

graduated from Robinson in '08. spent my last 3 years of high school there. far better than the other schools i had attended. My dad is teh Junior high Principal right now. Overall its a great community, with solid sports programs, and a great school system.
from a high schoolers/college students perspective, there's not a whole lot to do there. but Waco is just a short drive away.
