Is there a produce only store somewhere here I don't know about? I want white squash, and HEB NEVER has it. At least that is always what we called it and my parents always had it in their garden. It is great stewed like regular squash and also to die for (literally I guess since it is fried) sliced thin, coated, and fried like people do okra.

Try that Mexican grocery store out on east Adams. Sometimes those places have good produce. I've ne'er been there but it can't hurt to look. Well, unless you step in a hole in the parking lot and sprain your ankle, in which case I guess it could be said that it "hurt to look". Otherwise, .....
