Anyone have any suggestions on where my wife and I could take a quick trip this weekend with the dog?

Have looked at some wineries near Fredricksburg, but can't find any real accommodations that allow pets.

Any suggestions?

Last year, there was a Best Western there that allowed our small dachshund. Can't remember which one, though. South of the main street a couple of blocks or so.

I think Sunday House is a Best Western. We stayed at the Motel 6 Christmas(tried to keep the hassles for inlaws to a minimum since he had a stroke)and I remember it being advertised as pet friendly. It is new, very clean and inexpensive.

I will tell you this, Hampton Inn has the best beds of any hotel I have been to...all their locations! There is a Hampton Inn on Main St, just down from Sunday House.

I have used both for Rufus, the now 91 lb Boxer wonder dog & myself

Also, have found any leads, call ahead to verify.

Outside of those, if in Austin, The Drury Inn has no extra charge, and no restriction on dogs except a leash & can not leave unattended in a room for more than 30 minutes. I was there for A&M-UO game with my buddy who works for A&M
