Bring back Dale Monsey! Good Coach, Great man.....I am guessing he probably doesn't want to work that hard any more though...

Well it doesn't surprise me that he's gone. He had a starting line up over the last couple of years that averaged over 6-3. Including a 6-6 and 6-5. Which in 1A / 2A is big. He couldn't win....

The job is open. Monsey has not been the head basketball coach for about 4-5 years now. He is still the principal. One of the best basketball coaches I have been around or seen. Richardson is now at Robinson and our coach this year is retiring and that is why it is open.

Turge has been beatchin' about attendance and how he doesn't plan on staying much longer, so if Axtell can pull a crowd, Turge could be your man.

I went to school with Richardson's wife! We used to call him Goatboy.

I was the losing coach in Coach Monsey's 702nd victory in his career. We talked before the game and I knew he a recently won #700 and congratulated him on his accomplishment and told him I was sitting only few behind him at 7 career wins (it was my first year as a head varsity coach) and he laughed pretty hard. He was a very nice guy and encouraged me to keep up the work and reminded me that he was once sitting 7 career wins himself. Then they proceeded to beat the heck out of us by 25 or so.

Proud to say I don't think I ever added to his win total. Gave him a few L's though. He took the losses with the wins though and did a great job.

Not only a great Coach but also a great man who is awesome to work for.

Not filled yet. I think interviews are starting next week. No names yet

It is filled. It will be official tonight at the board meeting. I will let you know tomorrow unless someone beats me to the punch. I definately do not want it.
