There will be a number of us at the Salty Dog in Waco to watch tonight. Cool place. There is always plenty on Ags.

I've never been there.. Is it cool? A bunch of us are planning to go to Mike's Wings, Pizza, things.

Salty is a very nice place. Great burgers and apps. A ton of TV's. Very nice patio, too.

I think she/he is referring to the place by Hobby Lobby, but that is not Mike's. Mike's is, as you said, on 31st & M (but soon to be in the HEB shopping center at 31st and the loop).

Question...is it less crowded there? What's the beer selection like?

Why would that be a better place than, say, BJ''s? Not a criticism, at all....I was just wondering if it would be a good place to go (although I do like my anonymity).

I was "outted" at an event in town a few weeks ago. Someone asked me if I was "janag81". I almost lied and said "heck, no!"

The Waco A&M Club is hosting at Buffalo Wild Wings.

BWW is just terrible. The Aggie Club needs to look at Salty for any future get togethers.

The wing place near hobby lobby is pretty good, but it is kind of small and can get elbow-to-elbow crowded for big events. They do have a sports bar room separate from the restaurant that is nice, especially when everyone in there is in maroon and white. I would say BJ's is more comfortable because it is bigger, and they also have decent food and beer. The two are a contrast, and it just depends on what mood you're in.

Now, back to Mike's (THE PLACE ON 31ST STREET AND AVENUE M!). I really like their wings and their pizza is good too. The owner is very nice and they are friendly to their customers. However, they have no game watching capability - two old tube tvs mounted in opposite corners. Kind of old school style that they never bothered to update. I REALLY hope they try to tap into the sports watching crowd when they move to their new location by mounting some flat screens up on the wall. Seems like a lucrative market that so far they seem to have ignored.

I like BWW....just not necessarily the Waco location. During the NCAA tournament, they couldn't figure out how to get all four games on different TVs.

Man, I've been to many BWW in many towns. Just never know what you're gonna get. And God forbid if one of those goofy mixed martial arts events is on. Not only will you get hit with a cover, but Aggie sports will be an afterthought.

I was talking about the place next to Hobby Lobby. Two Mike's in Temple is confusing! I'll be at the one by Hobby Lobby with some other peeps. The more the merrier!

There aren't two Mike's in Temple. The place by Hobby Lobby is not Mike's. Lay off the sauce, man.
