No good BBQ in Bell County. Clem's had gone mainstream since his kids took over, Schoepf's brisket is over cooked, Fatboy's and 8th street... Ehhh, Cyclone Is over rated and the service has gone way downhill, Mungia's, I haven't been too in a couple of years.

Not gonna find ot in HH. go to schoepfs in belton. Not great, but will do in a pinch. There's that place on 57th and Scott Blvd in Temple, behind sherwin williams. It's OK, I guess. Can't recall the name of the place.

Schoepf's in Belton is pretty good---really tender, but not a lot of flavour to it unless you add a lot of their sauce. The sauce is good. The venison sausage is really good.

Johnny's in Salado is pretty good also; plus it is owned by an Old Ag.

Schoepfs is the best choice around Killeen Belton Temple. Ronnie Schoepf is an Aggie. Clems in Temple and Belton is bland. Millers borders on unsanitary as the taxidermy shop is also housed in the same building.johnnys in salado has good steaks on the weekend.

The best option in Harker Heights is Maurice's. Look for it near all the tattoo parlors, pawn shops, and liquor stores. Everyone in there is always real friendly and the food is good.

Um, could you be a little more specific? You just described the western half of Bell County and the Southern part of Coryell County.

Opening in August - some sort of BBQ place called "Rudy's" across from Skylark airport on southside of Centex Express. I don't know if you have ever heard of them or not.

Ahh, Rudy's, the last remaining restaurant chain not yet on 190 between Harker heights and fort hood!!!

Captain - I'm so old I remember when your choice of restraunts in Killeen consisted of The Blue Moon, the Venus, the Moss Rose all on 190 (it was only two lanes from east of Temple to west of Lampasas), one Dairy Queen, the Derby Cafe on Ave D, and a Burger Chef. Heck - I even remember when most of the business signs on Rancier were in English.

Big Hoss BBQ on East Trimmier. It's just down the street. Take Mountain Lion Stage Coach to the T intersection. Turn left and go about 2 miles on your right side. You will enjoy!
