I recently had the same issue. Expired tags that I couldn't take care of because of the previous owner. Got the issues fixed and judge Person dropped it. The 2 idiots in front of me argued with her and had to pay. Be nice to authority figures and it usually pans out.

I didn't even have to see the judge. The clerk just did it for me. Didn't even ask. And mine had been out since February. Hows SBMS going?

It and New Tech are going to be the death of me. Tough summer for our department.

It's all going to pan out and I Know both campuses are going to succeed but it's been heck getting there. You back at the same Elem?

C-Jags, how is the iPad implementation coming? It's definitely been a challenge as far as management goes within our district. Apple doesn't have the greatest of structures for enterprise management. There is a utility for initial setup that is helpful for mass setup, but after that changes are hard to deal with. They are a great device for the classroom, but I hope they eventually improve the ease of integration into the classroom.

I'm not sure on the implementation of the iPads as we haven't given them out. I actually won't be as involved in that as I will be the new tech high school and the macs the teachers at SBMS and New Tech are moving to. not only are we introducing iPads but about 300 macs for the first time in the district.

Apple just flat out does not play well with enterprise networks and that makes it hard. Great for home use and graphic stuff but I just struggle with it from a management standpoint.

We went with Casper by JAMF Software for management of both devices. The imaging has been great and made our techs lives easier.

Going to be an interesting year. More than anything I hope it makes a difference in BISD kids' education. I hope it catches on and spreads throughout the district and then moves on to other districts in the area.

MIdway. You're right, the kids are the most important thing. We are lucky that we have 6 Instructional Technologists spread throughout the district to aid teachers in the implementation of all of our technology. Is that enough? Probably not, but many districts of our size only have one or two, so we are lucky in that regard. I didn't realize you were rolling out that many MacBooks. That is definitely a challenge as well. We stick strictly with Dell in the PC and laptop area. Another issue that is a huge hassle is the volume purchasing program. We have a system innplace that is good, but Apple really makes it difficult on the teacher to purchase an app!

Nope, not the director, but the gig is pretty awesome. We were at 20 before, so it's a really big difference.
