A friend of mine is on the board at the animal shelter in Waco and is trying to find a home for a lab named Jolly who has been there a long time and is about to be put down if he isn't adopted by 9/21. As we all know, large black dogs don't fare well when competing against puppies for spots in an adoptive home.
He is very familiar with the dog and can vouch for his great temperament, and would adopt him himself if his wife weren't about to have a baby next month. His adoption fee has been reduced to $25, and my friend or I will cover that if it really is a barrier to him being adopted.
