Great game even though the Cats lost. Was very dissapointed I the band however during the 3rd quarter when they started their "music" and jumping around like a bunch if monkeys (literally putting their instruments on the ground to jump around) while the drums/tubas/ and a a few other instruments played some gosh awful "music". Then the band decided to get into some sort of "who can play louder pi$$ing match with the cove band while the Temple team is on offense down on the end of the field with the band. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been fir the team to hear each other and the snap count. Then what happens baffles me. Temple turns over the ball still on the same end of the field, Cove goes on offense and the Temple band quits playing! Just like when you see cheerleaders not paying attention and cheering for the defense when the offense is on the field. Anyway though it was very annoying and inconsiderate if the band. I was in the stands in my reserved seats under the pressbox and it was difficult fir mention hear. Hope coach has a talk with the band director.

End of rant.

Once again , the Wildcats played a great and very exciting game. Kudos to them and the coaches

Band people are in their own world. Harker Heights band didnt even play the fight song for the team when they came out after half time yesterday against belton.

Yea. The band should be paying attention to the game and be involved. I think it's just as important to have them in there, using them in the right way and at THE RIGHT TIME can generate energy for the team.

Birddog- You are so right. I can't believe our coaches have let the band do that all of these years. I played a couple of years in band and we did not do that stuff. The band belongs in the stands during the game. They get to perform at halftime, and then they should be back in the stands. They don't pay attention to the game when they are on the track. The band cost us some penalties at that time.

Good game to watch. I thought the turning point of the game was the surprise onside kick. As much as I hate to say it, great coaching move when Cove was struggling to get back into the game. Cats still had their chances to take the lead.

Temple played a good game and is a much improved team. They are going to challenge for the district championship next year.
