Beating some Goliaths along the way Midway has made it to the state finals for the first time in history! Congrats to all the players and good luck on Friday. Ironically, Midway will be playing Lake Travis, where the Midway superintendent is headed after the Winter Break.

I'll be there. Tickets are $12 for adults pre-game, $15 at the gate. Start time is 8:00. Should be pretty awesome if they can knock off LT.

Midway

I was looking for the televised game and saw FOX Sports (Time-Warner Channel 26) will have a replay of sorts after the game. Fox is airing some of the state championship games live but this one conflicts with a Dallas Stars game so it looks like the Midway - Lake Travis game is scheduled for a 1 hour slot after the hockey game. Hopefully the hockey game won't go long and cut into the replay.

Is the game on live on another Fox channel?

Wondered why they went with little Mulky at QB the entire game..Been using 3 guys all year.. Kid weighs 120 lbs and cannot throw! They had a good run though

Law, LOTS of people were wondering that as well! He needs to decide which sport he will excel in and stick with it...football, baseball or basketball. He took his pitcher step forward before throwing the ball several times.

He is not a qb for a 4A football team.. The only reason he is even in that roll is his name.. Idk about the other sports, but hes not a football player

Did any of you watch the games up to the state game? I'm guessing probably not. Is Robertson a prototypical QB, definitely not, but the kid is athletic. Throughout the playoff run Robertson was the QB the majority of the time and played really well. He had some amazing passes and ran like a madman. I would say that behind the defensive dominance he was the main reason Midway made it to state. Never met the kid and don't know much about him, but I do know that he wasn't qb because of his name.

I personally think they should've played Darling more after the first few possessions when it was obvious that LT had game-planned well for Robertson. Robertson seemed much more tentative than usual when passing and unsure of himself in the pocket. Darling seemed to do well in limited action and I think he matched up better with LT. I credit the LT defense for pressuring Robertson and working the offensive line over.

Anyway, just wanted to stick up for the kid a little bit. From what I saw through the year he was one of the main factors in Midway's run to state.

I agree as well and Kramer is a really good baseball player but when the line in front of you outweighs you by 200lbs you can't get scared. He appeared reserved and hesitant.
