Howdy guys...I posted this over on the job network board but thought I'd post here as well. I don't post here often on TexAgs but I need some help here. I would like to start looking for a job in the Lampasas area due to family reasons. My family owns a ranch near Lampasas and I hope to move there and start running it as soon as I can find a good job. Preferably the job would be within an hour of Lampasas...this most likely means the Copperas Cove, Fort Hood, or Killeen area.

I am a recent graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering and I currently have a good engineering position for the company I'm working with in San Antonio. I would prefer a position related to my degree field but I would be willing to look at any decent job if available.

I am sure you have searched the job situation on Ft Hood. There are all sorts of contractors there that hire MEs. Education (public Schools and CTC and TAMCT)or Fort Hood are about the only big time employers

What area of mech engr have you been working in?

Right now I am doing civil engineering stuff but I would jump at the chance to get into anything related to the power industry or really anything related to mechanical engineering in general.
