Any good place in belton or temple for brunch? Prefer some mimosas as well

Meggs for brunch, hands down.

And while I've never had a mimosa there, they do have an alc. bev. license, so getting a mimosa shouldn't be a problem.

Again, no contest, best breakfast/brunch in the area.

regarding Meggs, it's foo-foo food, but it's good.

I think the last time I went there I saw that they had a Texas Monthly "Best Of" for brunch or something.

If you're looking for something different, I keep hearing good things about Cafe-35 where Nifty's and Hawaiian Cafe used to be. Lots of people seem to really like it but I haven't had a good reason to go there yet.

I gotta respectfully disagree about Meggs. That's the first thing I thought when I heard the name "Meggs". Thought it would be chick food.

It ain't. Ham and eggs sandwiches, short rib hash, omelets, steak, house hot sauce.... Good food, big portions. Love the place. Bring about $20 per person if you eat in. That will cover food, drink, tax, and tip.

Oh man, and those potatoes. I could eat those things every day and not get tired of them.

Meg's is getting really crowded. We go every few weeks or so on Sunday at around 11. Used to be no wait. Now we wait.

Anyway, it's not my favorite but they do have some good stuff. Most people seem to love it though.
