Well, my happy times from the modem replacement in June are over. Something is wrong with Time Warner the last week or so. My connection just freezes. I will try a long trace-route and see if a bottleneck shows itself.
I haven't even been able to run the bandwidth test from www.broadband.gov which is an FCC effort to monitor our ISP's promise vs performance.
I ran a trace route to google.com (a convenient, well managed site) and I am getting severe packet loss early in the route, which is our local switching.
I guess it is time to visit their store front in the HEB parking lot and complain. Better answers there than anything over the phone. And faster too, even if you walk.
