I am having to post from iphone my roadrunner has been hit or miss lately and today has been of more than it has been on is anyone else having issues I don't know where to start trying to get this fixed however I mainly keep time warner just to keep my internet

We are having the same trouble.

It is mostly miss in the afternoons and evenings. Our Internet is down at that time every day.

We're looking into other sources.

Heck, were even looking at vvm.

Yes, afternoon and evening. Coming and going. Thanks for the answer. I was not sure it my modem was getting overheated or something, or if they were having issues.

Do you have an older modem? I recently decided to replace mine because it constantly had DNS resolution errors. The provider's DNS server was just fine, so it was on my side. when I brought the modem in, the person said mine was very old. The reliability went up dramatically after replacement.

That is why I asked. Jan lives in my same section of town. Makes me think the problem is with Time Warner.

It's down again. I'm using 3G on my iPhone to type this. This is getting old.

I can't type on the phone well, so I use voice when I am on it, but it does not punctuate or capitalize.

Mine goes off and on. It is so frustrating.

Well, my happy times from the modem replacement in June are over. Something is wrong with Time Warner the last week or so. My connection just freezes. I will try a long trace-route and see if a bottleneck shows itself.

I haven't even been able to run the bandwidth test from www.broadband.gov which is an FCC effort to monitor our ISP's promise vs performance.

I ran a trace route to google.com (a convenient, well managed site) and I am getting severe packet loss early in the route, which is our local switching.

I guess it is time to visit their store front in the HEB parking lot and complain. Better answers there than anything over the phone. And faster too, even if you walk.

we got RR internet in about 1999 and their service was top notch, no complaints at all...at some point my husband decided to go with Grande because their promo was at a much reduced price however, when the promo was over we ended up paying the same amount as with RR.

LSS we ended up with RR again and their service was HORRIBLE! Everything would freeze up. Lost emails, dropped TV channels when they were saying we got them(even their techs couldn't get the channels). Scrambled signals were the norm not the occasional event.

TWC/RR has grown too fast in our area and maybe in Temple as well and their ability to offer quality products has not kept up with demand. NEVER AGAIN!
