Looks like you will need to open up the feed lots for a good price for parking. (Boots provided)
BU to provide 2,500 parking spaces for the new 45,000 seat stadium.
My opinions in ()’s.
Among the highlights:
* The study assumes that 40,000 will attend a typical game. Assuming three riders per car, they would need more than 13,000 parking spaces. (-20,000)
* The 2,500 on-site spaces could accommodate about 7,500 people, or less than 19 percent of the total. (Or 40% of total attendance)
* Within a 25-minute walk of the stadium are 11,000 parking spaces in 54 lots and garages at Baylor. Within the same distance are about 1,000 parking spaces in downtown Waco. (A little over estimate here, students aren’t walking in heat cold or rain, nor are other fans)
* Seventy-five percent of game attendees, or 30,400 people, would park within that walkable zone, though many might choose to take a shuttle. (2200 Used the shuttle in the last five years)
* Of that number, 7,000 would be students, 80 percent of whom would walk from their dorms or a campus parking lot. (See above)(And that would be Half of the student body,, Uh no)
* Another 10 percent, or 4,000 patrons, would take shuttles from more remote locations or arrive on university buses.(Yeah RIGHT!!!)
So I guess they are estimating going back to 20,000 per game.
This is kinda like the Perryman Report that says the Aggies leaving the big 12 will cost Waco tens of millions of dollars and the new stadium will employ 70,000 people!!
