Anyone have recommendation on a dentist in the Waco area? Might even be a younger or new grad dentist but will certainly appreciate any referrals. Thanks!

Central Texas Dental in Hewitt

Dale Williams has been our dentist since he opened his practice 30 years ago. He is an Aggie grad(Masters in Eng) who then decided to go to dental school. Seems like he was valedictorian of his dental class.

Two partners Monte Cooper is a Baylor grad/Baylor dental and Michael Cooney Tech/Baylor grad.

No complaints at all.

He's not an Ag but I have had good luck with Dr. Richard Armstrong in the shopping center at Bosque and Valley Mills. The plaques in his office show him to be a former USAF Lt Col. I lucked into him because I was limited to dentists that take the military retirees' Delta Dental Plan.

I had a terrible pain in my jaw. The first dentist I saw told me I needed a root canal but he did not do them. In searching for a dentist that accepted the military retirees' Delta Dental Plan and did root canals, I found Dr. Armstrong. It turned out I had a bone sliver coming through the side of my jaw. Dr. Armstrong pulled it out, gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way feeling much better and without the pain and expense of an unnecessary root canal.

I was able to get an appointment quickly, they get you in on time and get you out quickly, are thorough without adding on a bunch of unnecessary services, and I have been very happy with him for the two years that I have been seeing him.

I will also agree about Armstrong because my daughter's insurance changed for a year or so and she saw him. Indeed appointments were easily worked around HER schedule. She has had extensive oral surgery and after her initial xrays Dr Armstrong said, Goodness we need to keep these teeth a very long time to offset the expense of getting them so pretty!

I will add that Michael Cooney in Hewitt is young, maybe 33-34ish...his brother went through Midway with my oldest daughter and they are 31.

My parents owned the house at Surfside and it was first row, on the beach...fabulous times there growing up!

Dr Jennifer grant is an ag I believe. I've had a decent amount of work done there over the last couple years, and its been a very painless experience.

Gary Williams and Dale Williams are both good. I've used both. Dr. Larry Pritchard did my wisdom teeth--very good experience. Although, he's more of an oral surgeon--not a family dentist.

Armstrong will rob you blind, stay away from that dude. He is extremely shady.

Dale Williams is a really good guy, I lived by him growing up. His kids are 1-3 years older than Cooney, who is a Midway kid. He was always pretty smart from what I remember.

Dr Schwab on Cobbs, the whole staff was friendly and informative. Will be sticking with them!

Re: oral surgery, Dr. Pritchard is selling his practice to Jason Beck--a good friend of ours. He is great. I think he went to TAMU for a couple of years but transferred when he got married.
