I just saw that also. Great news for the economy, sucky news for my commute since I exit there to get home.

disappointed! I want the real deal like the stores in Buda or Ft Worth...our 42K/sqft store won't come close to the 185K/sqft one in Buda!
Yeah, disappointed with that too Mom, but I think it will still be pretty cool. I was thinking it woul be about the size of Academy, but i looked it up and Academy is about 85,000 sq ft vs 42,000 sq ft of the Cabelas.
42k sq feet ain't bad if it's all hunting and fishing stuff. How much of Academy or Sports Authority's 80k is gold or excercise stuff? I'm sure it'll beat the pants of their outdoors section

Best part about this is we can utilize their "ship to store" option where it's free shipping. Get what you need online and tell them to send it to the store where you can pick it up for free.

All my kids were together this weekend and we *****ed and moaned about the small store and then agreed about shipping to store. It will be better than what Waco currently has to offer and still, we can hit the big stores within two hours so not all is lost.
