For the past month or so, Lay's has been advertising that is having a contest where you can try three new flavors and vote on your favorite. The flavors are Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken & Waffles and Sriracha.

Has anyone seen these in the Temple area? I've looked at HEB, CVS, & 7-11 with no luck. I just want to do my part for democracy!

Side bar: I had beef goulash tonight. Added sriracha at the table. Takes it to a whole nother level.

Good hunting, worst case scenario, u can go buy a bag of lays, a bottle of sriracha and make your own taste bud paradise

I guess it's actually Thai. I thought it was Vietnamese because I usually see it at the Vietnamese restaurants more than Thai places. Or maybe I just am not looking hard enough since I rarely put Sriracha on Thai food, but almost always on Vietnamese food.

As for the Rooster Sauce, heck, that stuff is made in California

Won't lie. When I finally read the bottle I was dissapointed it was made in Cali, but my friend said better in Cali by (hopefully) Asian immigrants than in New Yooork Ciityyy.

I agreed.

Well, upon further research, Rooster sauce is Chinese-Vietnamese-American, not Thai..

I still love the rooster sauce even though it's from CA. Also from Huy Fong is the Chili Garlic... awesomeness.

I like Valentina (black label) and also enjoy a variety of Louisiana/Cajun-based hot sauces.

LOVE hot sauces myself... Have recently tried a couple of scotch bonnet sauces from a Jamaican place in Killeen. Good stuff, and better heat source than the cayenne and jalapeño sauces...

My wife has finally come to grips with my apparent need to supplement my meals with various hot sauces and pepper flakes. "Can't you just try it first?" she used to say. Sriracha in my soups is a must. There is nothing like the pleasure of a delicious bone-broth accentuated with capsaicin-laden pepper sauce.
