I'm moving to Temple soon and was trying to find any real advice on apartments if anyone has lived in any of them. Online reviews are terrible because the only people that usually post stuff are pissed off and most positive reviews are probably by the management. Anyone here to help an Ag out?

I know that there are two brand new complexes on 2305 ( one also fairly new.....all look nice), and one off of South 31st Street near the Waters Dairy Road.

I would think most of the newer complexes would be fine.

I live off of 2305, and that's where the growth is.

Yeah, those are probably your best bet. Where you will work should factor in. Both 31st and 2305 can be pretty congested at rush hour. Live close to work if you can... 31st would be best for S&W are, 2305 might be better for Temple High.

If its downtown, probably 31st is better since you could commute via 5th/1st street

BTW, does anybody else wish they would build a better route between Temple and North Belton? Build a highway and some dang overpasses for gosh sakes....

A ferry on the Leon river would suit me fine.

And Belton has good apartments. 2 of the newest ones are Aggie owned and operated.

My fiance and I live at Echo Station (on Water's Dairy Rd off 31st) and we love it!

Rent is cheap, the apartment's big, our neighbors are awesome, and we love the management! We've lived here for 3 years and definitely wouldn't move to a different apartment complex in the area.

There's a really new nice complex on Marlandwood near Lowes Drive called Encore.

Gated community....really nice.
