Ok, let's give it, what, 3 years? You bump this and let me know how Temple has fared.

Temple is trending down, NE and E Travis County school are trending up.

Yes, I grew up in Belton; however, Belton is in the same boat with Temple. Not trending up.

The problem with Elgin, manor, pflugerville, and hutto will be the "Olympic" sports. They have easy access to rec and select teams for these, assuming the varsity starters have been involved in one of these teams since a young age. BCYC is supposed to add a rec volleyball program, but the Austin area is way ahead of central Texas for this. As well as basketball. The rec/select gyms are very competitive. Temple should be fine in football.

Yeah, actually I thought he was referring to football. Temple will compete well as long as Spradling is there.

I don't know about the olympic Sports. I just don't follow them. Temple's girls are historically pretty good in basketball and track. And way back Temple was good in swimming and golf. Haven't heard much lately.

In volleyball, Elgin was like 4-10 in district last year, Manor was 0-14, Hutto was 12-2. Don't know who they played in district.

No idea about soccer

Fine arts in Temple is usually very good, but I don't know how they will make up those regions. I don't think it parallels athletic districts, so expect Temple will remain in the region with Belton, cove, Killeen, Waco, and BCS area schools.
