My husband's truck. It was stolen Thursday around lunch on Ave I in Belton. That is at the end of south Main, very close to Norman's lumber and 190 west. I posted this on the automotive board Thursday, and I get most think it's in Mexico. I think it's still in Bell County. A Facebook friend says she saw it going towards Harker Heights high school yesterday from Indian Trail. The case # is 1400 3834. If you think you see it, call the local PD and give them this number and where you spotted it. It's a very loud truck and easy to pick out.

Yea but he had stopped to check on a job. He was standing outside, 30 ft from it. No cars had been driving up and down the street, and this is a very short side street between main & the 35 exit road. Maybe a handful of houses on it. He heard it start up and turned around, and they took off.

Killeen PD found it and it's likely totaled after the high speed chase. I'll know more after tomorrow.

Yeah, they said he would be fine. Glad to know they caught the guy. That usually doesn't happen.

No details yet. The Belton police officer is going to get more info today from Killeen PD.

The windows are very tinted. And it's a very tall truck. I would like to know all that too.

Very totaled. I don't know about the thief/driver. He's in his 60's so KPD didn't think he actually stole it but knows who did. I know they were hoping he'd cooperate so they don't want us sharing too much to mess up the investigation. All personal items in the truck were gone. That's another loss insurance can't replace. Job notes, estimates, stuff like that. The adjuster fussed about paying for the upgrades, but that truck had $1000's in upgrades done to it. That was the only reason my husband bought it. But he ended up giving us a fair check. Now we are back to square 1. Keep your vehicle locked. Even for a quick stop. I've definitely changed that habit.
