I'm searching for facilities in the Belton/Temple area that are available on the weekend to rent out. My needs are a small classroom or conference room that can comfortably seat 15 individuals. I will be teaching a course and need AV equipment, but can provide my own if necessary. Also, a whiteboard is helpful too.

Looking for low cost options in order to keep the course fee down as much as possible for my students.

Thanks!

The Hilton Garden Inn in Temple across from Scott &White has those. I think the Harris Center in Belton also provides those. You'd probably have to contact the Belton chamber of commerce for more info.

Do you mean by taking my courses to waco? Currently, at this time I only plan to extend my services into the Belton/Temple region, but that area is under consideration.

Sorta.

The company I work for has a community board rooms, they are free to use, but we are a non-profit so either a donation or gift in kind is appreciated for use of the facilities.

If you come up to waco, just let me know and I can set you ip

The Bell County expo center might have what you are looking for as well.

I'm planning to move into these areas with my SAT Test Prep course first. After about a year or so, I intend on opening a satellite office in this region and deliver all the services/courses.

I never took a review course. Are they worth it?

How much do you charge?

Nevermind. I found it. $400

Not too bad for 14 meetings I guess.

Post on here when you get set up. Maybe I can send some people your way

Awesome, thanks! I'm still sorting out many of the logistics, but hope to have them in order shortly after the New Year.

UPDATE: I was able to locate a classroom in Temple's railroad museum. Nice new area they've opened and has a lot of character to it. Very excited about moving into this area with my services.

We offer a variety services for the college bound student regardless of their academic level. Consulting services can start in freshman year in high school and continue through freshman year in college to assist with their transition. Also, we offer a course that helps students identify their individual skills and how to leverage those in peer group environments. Additionally, we offer SAT test prep, college application and essay writing courses, and a course strictly for the college bound senior to ramp up their academic skills and equip them with additional knowledge to aid their transition.

Overall, we are college prep on steroids. We focus on practical skills blended with student development theory. We're like a personal trainer for your child by frequently providing guidance and having a number of conversations that high school counselors don't have the luxury of doing. Simply said, we develop students. We help them explore and to understand their pathway, focus their efforts in a strategic manner, and maximize their high school experience while simultaneously grooming the student to be most competitive college applicant that they can be.

Actually, I'm coming into town this coming Thursday to meet with local high school counselors to further explain my services to them. Since you're a teacher, I doubt you're available during that time, but I'd love to grab a cup of coffee one weekend when I'm in town.

Thanks for asking! I'm excited to branch out with these services into my hometown community!

I don't know if our staff will attend since we are a small school. I try to tell my kids that the playing field is not level and that students from big schools actually prep for the tests, not just set the alarm and go take them.
