Howdy Killeen/Fort Hood Aggies,
We're excited to announce that we are bringing the Big Event to West Bell
County. In coordination with the on-campus Big Event in College Station
on Saturday, March 28, we are putting
together a team of Aggies to assist at the Killeen Food Care Center from
9:00-11:00. This valuable community resource is operated by fellow
Aggies and provides a tremendous service to the greater Killeen area. As
Aggies, one of our core values is Service and Service to one's
community; adding a local Big Event is a tangible way for us to help
those around us. If you're not familiar with Big Event or want to know
more about it, I would encourage you to visit their website at bigevent.tamu.edu.
We're also only weeks away from Muster with guest speaker Matt Bumgardner and are excited to announce we have
been able to reduce the cost to attend this year. Thanks to a generous
donation by Walker Partners and our continued working relationships with
Rudy's BBQ and Texas A&M-Central Texas, we have reduced the cost of
Muster to $10 per person (Club Membership is available for an
additional $10). Proceeds from Muster will go towards our Aggie Ring
scholarship fund which this year will place rings on the fingers of 2
local Aggies who may not have been able to afford the ring otherwise.
This is the second year for the this scholarship fund and the
generosity of local Aggies has now funded 5 such Aggie Rings.
