Some of you are die hard Whataburger folks and I get it, but I'm personally a big fan of In-N-Out. This is where the old Clarion Inn was I believe.

What-A-Burger. Nough said.

Then there is Kytoks, DoubleR and Whizbangs.

I was in Killeen a couple of weeks ago and stopped so I could try the famous In-N-Out burger. I was extremely disappointed. I was expecting to taste the best fast food burger I had ever tasted. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. However, I'll take a What-A-Burger over In-N-Out any day of the week. I just don't see the fascination with it.

I was a Whataburger fan, because I grew up in Texas. However, In-and-Out has become my go to fast food burger. Next time you go to INO, order a double-double animal style with a neapolitan shake.

The times I've been to In-N-Out, I enjoyed the burger and fries. However, the California hype-machine is still in high gear, and the actual experience of dining in, and waiting for a seat has soured me on them. When I first tried them on a trip to SoCal, it was a pleasant dining experience. There, In-N-Out is just a fact of life. Here, the "ZOMG, In-N-Out is here!!!!! Gotta have In-N-Out!!!!! OMG!!!!" hype keeps me from it. Perhaps I'll go back once it becomes more of a general fact of life here.

My mother was hospitalized for a couple of months right down the street from one in Austin last year. It gave me the opportunity to give In & Out a try.

It wasn't bad, but I didn't see what the hype was about. There was a local place that had much better burgers about the same distance from the hospital.

We used to visit friends in California and they would take us to In-N-Out and I thought it was pretty good. But when they came to visit us, all they wanted to eat was Whataburger. I think the novelty works both ways.

The appeal is that it's fresh and it's $5.

It's not Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay or BurGR at Planet Hollywood in Vegas. But... it's a great value.

In-N-Out is so far below Whataburger.

Fries are soggy and terrible, will never order them again.

Burger is serviceable, but it's not as good as Whataburger. You're just paying to have some bs California crap that you wait in line for.

Forgot to add, if you're looking for a thin patty burger, it's hard to go wrong with Crow's.

I used to eat Crow's in Belton a lot, but since I don't work there any more, Fench Quarter it is.

we had the Dave's Burger Barn food truck cater our field day for 350 people last week. Delicious burgers, fast. They can serve 50 burgers every 8 minutes.
