Does anybody have a recommendation for homeowner's insurance in the Waco area? My rate has almost tripled in three years and am looking for an alternative.

we have had mostly good experiences with Farm Bureau.

It's very different than when we've used them in the past after the tornado last year and I had some frustrations there, but they were just nitpicking everything to make sure I didn't commit fraud.

We just switched from TFB to farmers. Saved a ton. TFB got too proud and wouldn't even budge. Never a claim on home or auto. 3 years of 30% increase in a row.

Farmers beat them on both. I'm gonna shop annually from here on out.

I switched to Liere several years ago after Farmers doubled my auto rate. It had been going up slowly, then bam, a huge increase. Liere found a policy with slightly more coverage for half the price.

Homeowners has been a little tougher to try to keep the rates similar, but they've been able to keep the increases to a couple of hundred of less.

I'm old now, in my life I've never filed an auto or home insurance claim, but that doesn't prevent the rates from skyrocketing.

I'm 40 and have used home insurance 4 times as an adult.
