One of the best drivers I know, Andy Hollis, sits that close to the wheel.

If you aren't racing, it's safer to sit away from the wheel in modern cars. Your risk of injury from an airbag is much greater when you sit close to the wheel.

My grandpa used to do that all that time but with his early 80's Suburban...
Just got back from a trip to West Virginia and Virginia. Missed pics of a lot of Donks but managed to remember I had a camera in my pocket a couple of times.
Ever wonder how to haul back some 8 foot 2x4's when you drive a Mini Cooper? The red flags that were stapled to the end flew off as he got up to highway speed. He was driving the speed limit as the boards wildly waved back and forth.
I was debating if this obnoxious Hemi sticker was worth a picture as I sat at the light but then the Mossy Oak edition Bone Collector truck pulled up beside him so I figured combined they were worthy.
