Just replaced the factory one in the wife's 2013 explorer. I picked up the 3 year warranty one at O'Riley's. I bought one of those battery/charger/jumper packs from Costco - they work like a champ. I think they are about $50. I got multiple jumps off of one even after having last fully charged it over 6 months ago.

Just bought one of those from amazon myself.

Had / got to use the lithium jump starter today. Sweet! Jumper cables no more

Timely thread is timely. Coming up on 4 years on wife's van's battery. Looked it up and found it is a H8 AGM battery...guess that's what we get for all the bells and whistles on that thing. Pricey battery just browsing the interwebs. Anyone have a recommendation for one of these? Was thinking autozone/Walmart but wanted to see if anyone had experience with these. Factory battery is ~$277 looks like about $100 savings with autozone option.

Wow. My first Tahoe went through batteries like crazy. At least 4 batts in 6 years of ownership. The second one -- no joke -- 2.5 years almost to the DAY on the first 3 batts. A year on the next one and then the last one lasted until I got rid of it.

I dont know about other new cars with the auto stop/start feature, but my '17 Grand Cherokee now has 2 batteries instead of 1 to deal with that. Will be curious to see how long those last.
