Anybody have a recommendation for car covers for hail protection? This is for a vehicle that won't be able to park in a garage. Thanks

I've a seen the inflatable ones in the wild before. Seems like they might actually work. Found this on Amazon, but don't think it is the type I saw.

I have the same problem.

I've thought about stitching some moving blankets together, and putting pool noodles underneath. Maybe using some straps to keep it in place...

Plywood on top of moving blankets would probably work.

If the wind is blowing and moving the noodles around, that will scuff up your paint. If the vehicle is dirty when you need to do this, it'll be like little sanding blocks.

FIL does moving blankets under a car cover and has survived a few storms unscathed.

I have a seal skin cover I use, but for anything other than pea size you need to put those bags of mulch under it.

It makes me feel better when there is a storm rolling in at least

This is what I use. Try to get it at the right time like how I did when there was a $200 coupon available for it which dropped the price down to $300.

Only bad part about these are if you have a truck and it rains a bunch it fills up the bed like a little swimming pool. Haven't had to use mine since I got a bed cover but I think it's work much better

Just note that the inflatable hail cover is a real pain. I think you have to dtive over it prior to inflating. Look at procedure before purchasing.

Dealing with $25k in hail damage is more of a pain than the 15 minutes it takes to put a hail cover on. Ask me how I know....(the one time I didn't want to put it on)

You don't drive over it, you pull it over the top. Once you do it initially, it's easy to deal with. I have the Hail Protector and they work well.
